From the Editor's Desk

It gives me amazing feelings to be working as Secretary, Shaikh Ayaz International Conference on Language and Literature. In the beginning the whole thing looked very difficult because I had no experience conducting and looking after such gigantic program. With the passage of time, I got involved and I got on with this huge task and now I am surprised to see the bulk of work that has been done at the Secretariat of Shaikh Ayaz International Conference on Language and Literature with the help of a very small team of Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed Mirani (Internet/Computer Operator) and Mr. Asghar Ali Siyal (Clerk) and the ever green and untiring guidance of the Chairman of the Conference Dr. M. Qasim Bughio, Dean Faculty of Arts.

Since the main job of universities, along with conducting routine classes and exams, is to generate new knowledge by carrying out research activities, this conference will set a new trend and tradition, especially for the young researchers to carry on their higher studies on modern research patterns.

I am immensely thankful to the encouraging response of the scholars - local and foreign, for their participation with the lively academic spirit of presenting their papers and sharing their findings with other scholars in the fields.

After receiving more than 75 abstracts from the interested scholars, the careful task of editing and setting the abstracts for publication in the Book of Abstracts (now in your hands) felt very challenging. Many of these abstracts had been made without technical support/knowledge. We had to work a lot to make these abstracts worthy of this book of abstracts. In spite of that, some of them again may look below the mark, in such cases, we had to encourage the young minds, hence they got place in the book and in the conference. I am so thankful to Mr. Aziz Palli and Mr. Abdul Sattar Gopang for their assistance in this regard. I am also thankful to the members of organising committee who worked as a team to make this conference a success. I must admit that it is the sheer dedication and commitment of our team that motivated us all to successfully organize such an important academic event.

I sincerely thank the honorable Vice Chancellor, Mr. Mazaharul Huq Siddiqui who has always supported such grand scale academic activities, Organising Committee and sub-committees without whose support, assistance and best wishes this task would have been impossible.

I wish best of luck to all the participants of the conference.
