ELIGIBILITY FOR MASTERS’ PROGRAMS:

Bachelors' degree in the relevant discipline from any recognized University/ Institution or equivalent examination passed with at least 2nd Division score not less than 45%.


MS/ M.Phil. LEADING TO PH.D PROGRAM

Arabic, Analytical Chemistry, Business Administration, Botany, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology & Genetics, Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, Commerce, Computer Science, Development Studies, Economics, Education, English, Freshwater Biology & Fisheries, Geology, General History, International Relations, Islamic Culture, Information Technology, Library & Information Science, Mathematics, Microbiology, Pakistan Study, Petroleum Geosciences, Physics, Physiology, Physical Education Health & Sports Sciences, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Public Administration, Political Science, Statistics, Sindhi, Sociology, Telecommunication, Urdu & Zoology.

The 40 CH M.Phil/ MS. Program comprises 4- semester (2-year) study including 24CH coursework during 1st & 2nd semester and research work from 2nd semester onward concurrent with coursework. Minimum 05 candidates are to enroll for starting the teaching in any discipline. Fee Package: Rs.40,000/- (10,000.00) per semester excluding thesis Viva-Voce examination fee. Admission Forms available from September 10, 2012 onward from HBL Jamshoro/Old Campus Hyderabad only. Form may also be downloaded from University Webiste and mailed alongwith Bank Draft of Rs. 1200/-.


Eligibility Criteria for MS/M.Phil Programs:

Master's/ 4-yr. BS degree in the relevant discipline with good second division score from the University of Sindh or equivalent qualification from any other HEC recognized University. Applicants will have to qualify the Pre-Admission Test and Interview. The MCQ type Test will include 60% subject related questions, 25% English and 15% simple Maths. Candidates for enrolment in disciplines under Faculties of Arts, Islamic Studies and Social Sciences, who have recently qualified GRE (General) Test [GRE (subject) Test in case of candidates in Natural Science disciplines] may be exempted from written test but will have to appear for interview.

  • Application forms alongwith Catalogue 2013 can be obtained on payment of Rs. 1200/- including Pre-Entry Test Fees (non refundable) through Bank Challan from the following designated branches of Habib Bank Limited, with effect from 10-09-2012 to 10-10-2012. The form can also be downloaded from Sindh University website www.usindh.edu.pk (fees of the downloaded admission form is to be deposited in the branches of H.B.L. at Old Campus, Hyderabad and University of Sindh, Jamshoro).
  • The Hostel accommodation forms can be obtained from the following notified/ designated branches of H.B.L. on payment of Rs. 50/- and the same duly filled-in and completed in all respects be submitted in the office of the Provost, Boys Hostels/ Provost, Girls Hostels, after seeking admission in the University.

  • Candidates appearing in the Pre-Entry Test, will have to collect Slips/Admit Cards personally at the time of submission of admission forms.
  • The Aptitude/Fitness Test for (BHPE & MHPE-Evening Program) will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on 21.10.2012 at the Centre for Physical Education & Sports Science.
  • The Aptitude/Fitness Test for BS Health & Physical Education Part-I will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on 04.11.2012 at the Centre for Physical Education & Sports Science.
  • The Aptitude Test & Interview for BFA (Art & Design) will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. on 05.11.2012 at the Institute of Art & Design.
  • The Aptitude Test for M.Sc. Rural Development will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on 07.01.2013 at the Sindh Development Studies Centre.
  • Incomplete application forms shall be rejected.


INSTRUCTIONS

The form(s) be submitted personally at the DIRECTORATE OF ADMISSIONS, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah Administration Building (AC-II), University of Sindh, Jamshoro whereas the candidates of Sindh University Campuses @ Badin, Mirpurkhas & Dadu are directed to submit their admission forms at respective Campuses.
